Multi-color print (MCP) on TimrX bridges the gap between AI-generated textures and physical multi-material printing. The AI textures your model with colors and patterns; the MCP tool quantizes those textures into 1–16 solid filament regions; the slicer-ready 3MF goes straight into Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer.

MCP on TimrX takes a textured AI 3D model and converts it into a slicer-ready full-color 3MF file with 1–16 filament color regions. Up to 16 filament colors per print. The AI quantizes the model’s surface textures into the number of colors you pick. More colors look richer but extend print time and use more purge material — for most prints 4–8 colors is the sweet spot.
Generating the 3MF is 5 credits per conversion — live today. The print-on-demand side (TimrX prints and ships you the multi-color model) launches summer 2026. Planned starting price for multi-color FDM is $12 per small print; final price depends on volume, number of colors and shipping. We aren’t the cheapest option; we focus on color accuracy and print quality.
Close, but not pixel-perfect. Filaments have a limited gamut compared to a digital texture, and the model is split into solid color regions rather than continuous gradients. The 3MF preview shows the exact regions before you commit.
