Important considerations for AI-generated models.
AI models are not automatically production-ready. They are generated approximations. Always verify in a slicer (Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, OrcaSlicer) before committing to a print run.
Textures do not affect physical prints. For FDM/resin printing, only geometry matters. Focus on mesh quality, not visual appearance. Paint or finish the physical object after printing.
Use Meshy's Blender plugin for quick repairs. Install the Meshy for Blender plugin and use the one-click "Make Manifold" tool to auto-fix holes, remove internal faces, and make normals consistent.
Consider orientation and supports. Rotate the model in your slicer to minimize overhangs and support material. This affects print quality, time, and cost significantly.
